The Animals I Have Met

A photo series of climber animals from the past year:

Oliver (& not pictured Bandit): Some of the sassiest and most mischievous cats I have ever met.  Nothing better than sleeping next to these guys’ litter boxes for 10 days.  Or not sleeping due to them running around knocking things over all through the night.  Nonetheless, these cats put up with a lot of shit from a bunch of 20-somethings.  Examples include putting them up on a pull-up bar and giggling while they tried to figure out how to get down, watching Bandit try to get out of a sleeve of a puffy, etc.

Wadi: Not quite sure if I butchered the spelling but… Wadi is a well-behaved dog who is not afraid of being stuffed in a backpack to be carried down multiple sets of ladders to get to the Cirque.  Also he loves sticks.  Lots of sticks.  And will lay these sticks on your lap so you have no choice but to play fetch.

Banjo: Banjo is my friend.

Forest: Whatta ball of energy! Such a cute and loving little pup, the beginning of a new friendship ❤

Bart: …baby. Bart baby! What a happy week Bart and I spent together for my Spring Break last year.  He may have chewed through my iPhone cord, purse, and shoe laces, but he still has a special place in my heart.

Life is…

I typically like to think that my inner-musings have got to be somewhat valuable. However, the most profound thought that I have come up with in the past few weeks is: “coffee iz gud.”

…But dammit, coffee is good, especially during finals week.  So I have decided to make a list of all of the small things that characterize my life right now.  Because they’re important. To me.

Life is…

  • really long walks
  • podcasts
  • perfect 40 degree & sunny weather
  • Spotify Premium
  • buying coffee just to buy coffee
  • flannel pajamas
  • not washing my dishes
  • this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8CH9yDsqdA
  • pasta
  • too much diet soda
  • non-sober chess
  • biking
  • new earrings
  • Cook Out milkshakes
  • cats

So yes, currently I am quite the unadventurous plebeian with no exciting stories about how I fought a bear while hiking the entirety of the Appalachian trail without shoes and only astronaut food.  BUT, I feel pretty ok right now…so that’s what matters.
